Summary/Objective:
As an integral part of our team at Grace Place, the HR Manager will work closely under the Chief Human Resource Officer to ensure the smooth coordination of Human Resources functions. This includes overseeing recruitment, benefits, training, and employee onboarding, all of which play a vital role in supporting our mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
·Plan, direct, and coordinate all recruitment efforts, including the recruiting and onboarding of new staff.
·Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding to foster a positive attitude toward the Grace Place mission and goals.
·Manage HR policy development and implementation.
·Utilize and maintain a robust Human Resources information system (HRIS) to meet top management's information needs, ensuring accurate analysis, maintenance, and communication of all HR records.
Performance Management and Employee Relations:
·Assist in administering performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
·Advise managers in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
·Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs, and update the Employee Handbook as needed.
Benefits Administration:
·Assist in administering benefits programs, including life, health, and dental insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
·Keep records of benefits plan participation, employee transactions, and employee statistics for government reporting.
·Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
Compliance and Records Management:
·Continuously manage the process of preparing employee separation notices and related documentation, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
·Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gain insights into the reasons behind separations, facilitating a better understanding of employee feedback and concerns.
·Utilize exit interview data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in HR practices and employee engagement.
Communication:
·Under the direction of the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), manage Human Resources communication with employees, including weekly newsletters, company announcements, open enrollment, performance reviews, and other relevant communications.
Support CHRO:
·Provide backup support to the CHRO as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, or related experience required.
At least three years experience in Human Resources, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred. Experience in management a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, use of the internet, and basic HRIS and computer skills sufficient to maintain program data and prepare analytics.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills; Spanish speaking and writing skills are advantageous.
Strong project management, budgeting, planning, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, set high standards, train, supervise, and provide direction and evaluation.
Excellent critical evaluation and thinking skills.
Commitment to the mission and core values of the organization.

Work Environment: This position may require working in numerous locations, which include varying temperatures, noise levels, and other factors that may affect working conditions.
Position Type and Expected Working Hours: This is a full-time position with anticipated working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. Fridays are remote.
Physical Demands: Ex. Bending, sitting, and standing for long periods of time. May require lifting objects weighing up to 20 lbs. as needed. Some driving may be required.,
