Job Description
PURPOSE:
This position will be responsible for providing support on all human resources programs, Payroll functions and initiatives. Our high-growth, entrepreneurial company requires a candidate with an open mind and a high sense of urgency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Perform Payroll functions
- Assists in administration of the compensation program and monitor the performance appraisal process.
- Handles benefits administration, including claims resolution, approval of invoices for payment, distribution of annual employee notices as required and assisting with benefits reporting requirements.
- Responsible for recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel; helps coordinate the use of temporary employees; maintains applicant flow logs.
- Conducts new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks.
- Runs reports; maintains applicant and current and past employee records.
- Assists in the exit interview process.
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
- Maintains human resource records and compiles reports from database as needed.
- Helps maintain company organization charts and the employee directory.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in human resource management, or one to two years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Human Resources experience in manufacturing industry.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources Management
- Must have experience in Paylocity.
- Experience managing HSE
- OSHA 10 30 Certification
- Experience negotiating BCBS benefits and 401K
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
