We are looking for a Bilingual Human Resources Manager to be based at San Bernadino location reporting to the Director of Human Resources.
Job Summary
Overview of position
A critical partner to the Site General Manager, this role will implement new programs, policies and procedures to achieve the challenging growth targets that will deliver business results. This leader will be experienced in progressive HR strategies and tactics. A customer centric mind individual with a can-do attitude, focused on team collaboration and excellence in performance.
Responsibilities:
- Consults with the site leadership team regarding Human Resources issues, company policies, and applicable laws. Manages implementation of and ongoing compliance to Human Resources policies and procedures complying with local, state, and federal laws. Monitors state and local laws to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Coordinates site staffing activities for hourly and salaried positions, including but not limited to recruitment, hiring, and effective onboarding. Experience with recruiting agencies in managing SLAs (service level agreements).
- Understands business goals and recommends new approaches to promote continuous improvement and innovation in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR.
- Develops and implements effective and efficient training programs and employee development needs. Participates in the delivery and administration of some training programs.
- Advises management on employee relations issues, including the consistent and effective administration of employee discipline.
- Takes an active role in continually improving the effectiveness of site’s management and supervision staff as it relates to maintaining employee relations.
- Drafts and recommends approval of policies and procedures to address Human Resources needs including but not limited to policies related to state and local laws, hourly attendance and vacation, shift hours and overtime.
- Participates in or leads investigations related to employee complaints and suspected misconduct.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge Of:
- Exempt and non-exempt workforce
- HRIS, Onboarding, Talent, Performance Management, Training & Development, Employment Law and Compliance, Policy Development
- Behavioral assessments and its applications. Predictive Index preferred
- FMLA processes
Skilled In:
- HR project management
- Working in a team environment and working independently
Ability To:
- Lead, coach and inspire teams
- Work in a dynamic, rapid-changing environment
- Use sound judgement to drive complex issues to resolution and influence to achieve result
- Manage tasks in compliance with company policies and operating procedures
Selective Preference:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in HR Operations; Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or equivalent preferred; Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or equivalent) preferred and the ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing or logistic environment; Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a must and candidate will be able to travel 10%
