JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing and conducting activities including, but not limited to, field recruiting, onboarding, employee relations and leaves of absences. The manager will ensure compliance with HR policies, programs, and practices for assigned business units.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of HR responsibilities for assigned business units.
  • Lead and conduct investigations, prepare summaries, and make recommendations with a sense of urgency, ensuring comprehensive resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FCRA, EEO, and FLSA), and review, recommend and implement policies and practices.
  • Communicate, interpret, and consistently apply company policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations to ensure all procedures comply with company policies.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment and administer certain aspects of benefits.
  • Facilitate training for HR staff and business units related to interviewing, hiring, performance management, harassment, prevention, EEO/AAP, leave administration, discipline, and termination, etc.
  • Participate in legal inquiries regarding employment matters.
  • Partner with the HR leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Recruit employees for assigned business unit. Collaborate with the recruitment team on talent acquisition processes. Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Manage assigned HR Generalists and provide guidance on all aspects of Human Resources duties, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Partner with the Compensation and Benefits Team to identify trends in the market place.
  • Assist with learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment law, trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources and talent management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
  • 15% - 20% travel required, depending on business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS (ADP) and talent management systems.
