- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Manager HRBP’s & Compliance who will be a key support to the Human Resources Department.
- This role will be an individual contributor HRBP for the Corporate departments. It will also lead the other HRBP’s for their respective Business Areas, assure the delivery of all HR Life-Cycle activities beginning at pre-hire, through termination, for enterprise-wide employees, and assure daily response to employee matters. This role will demonstrate responsibility, dependability, ethical behavior, and respect for employees.
- This role will resolve complex problems impacting people, processes, and programs. It will be responsible for delivering various HR processes and documenting those processes to assure effective HR department continuity. It will require the ability to apply logical analysis within the context of employment law requirements, to deliver on all required Federal Contracting reporting and submissions, and to develop effective and timely solutions within a Defense Contractor environment.
- Act as the HRBP for the Corporate Business Area employees (managing employee relations and HRBP responsibilities for Corporate employees).
- Overall responsibility for, and coaching of, Valkyrie’s other Human Resources Business Partners, and assurance of the delivery of all Enterprise HR lifecycle support activities.
- Assure compliance with all Employment Laws and timely and accurate delivery of AAP’s and all other Employment required reporting.This position directly supports the Director of Human Resources and is a key relationship lead with other corporate and business area managers.
- Ability to synthesize and integrate diverse information, draw conclusions and make cogent and cost-effective business recommendations to improve or initiate processes, systems and structures.
- Responsible for assuring the effective delivery of Employee Services (Employee Relations, Performance Management, elements in the Recruiting process including, closing offers, and the implementation of all other annual HR lifecycle activities).
- Build and maintain strong relationships as a trusted business partner to the HR Director, management, and employees, in support of developing the optimal culture to drive performance, retention and engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with, and coach direct reports, to ensure that the HR talent offerings align with the strategic direction of the business while also meeting the day-to-day business requirements.
- Build effective relationships with Corporate and Operational staff to enhance the employee experience and support the business strategy throughout the organization.
- Maintain current and on-going knowledge and application of Employment Law, HR Compliance, Reporting and Analytics, and HR best practices.
- Assure legal and compliance requirements are met (DOL, State, Federal, OFCCP, etc.) and ensure financial responsibility to the company. Follow practices which mitigate risk to the organization.
- Oversee and resolve complex matters and situations, offer sound guidance and elevate relevant concerns.
- Positively project presence through written communications and platform skills, and demonstrate the ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles.
- Manage other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
- Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field. Master’s in Industrial & Organizational Psychology is preferred and at least 8 years of HR Management experience which includes previous experience in all elements of the above job description.
- Must have at least 4 years of experience working in a defense contracting environment.
- Must have at least 4 years of direct working experience developing AAP’s, and interpreting and creating solutions for annual improvement
- Direct experience in Employee Relations, Compensation and Recruiting.
- Experienced in negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Experienced in conducting training, and excellent platform skills.
- Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) and or Davis Bacon Act contracts and their application to/impact upon the workforce.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws (ADA, ADEA, HIPPA, FMLA, OFCCP, etc.), EEOC and Vets-4212 reporting.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Paylocity, Paycor and Costpoint preferred) and applicant tracking systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills; project planning skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to successfully manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet established and changing deadlines.
