Summary of Position:
The Human Resources Manager-Corporate will serve as a member of the Fortune Fish HR Team and will lead and support HR functions associated with the corporate office as well as nationwide HR programs. This position will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer with a dotted line to the VP Human Resources. This role will support the following functional areas: Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation, and Employee Engagement.
Position Description:
- Supports and partners with individuals on the leadership team (HR and other departments) on project rollouts to the user community including communications, documentation, reference guides, and any associated trainings.
- Acts as a point of contact for ideas and inquiries coming into and from the CHRO, escalating as appropriate, with responsibility for coordinating with and collaborating across departments to ensure on time delivery of commitments.
- Provides cross-functional support to the HR team to proactively assist in identifying opportunities and gaps based on HR projects and initiatives.
- Supports integrations between all HR applications and systems with processes and procedure documentation. Partners with project sponsors or subject matter experts in HR to identify and document HR project requirements with a focus on increasing business effectiveness and efficiencies including development of project timelines and deliverables.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage third-party relationships, advisors, and other service providers. Includes vendor management for Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, HRIS, Employee Relations, etc.
- Construct and ensure compliance of company’s review schedule for: benefits, annual performance management, merit/bonus process, etc.
- Supports review of existing and creation of new job descriptions as needed as well as providing salary analysis to establish compensation ranges.
- Manage internal communication strategy, including creating and distributing a monthly staff newsletter, supporting employee engagement, etc.
Benefits:
- Support annual open enrollment process including communications, creation and distribution of materials, HRIS system feeds, etc.
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Schedule, host and support annual benefits fair to connect Team Members with benefit providers to drive education and participation.
- Assess processes and procedures for continuous improvement for benefits administration, including automation where possible.
- Administer employee benefit related questions within the service desk and offer excellent customer service.
Performance Management & Compensation:
- Oversee and monitor the annual pay review process, ensuring compliance with established parameters and timelines; prepares guidelines and business rules, analyzes program results, and prepares reports and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with leadership and HR on performance management issues.
- Provides input to Compensation systems and their support of performance improvement.
- Implements the competency framework system within the organization and trains managers to carry out competency assessments, determine employee development needs and provide support.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of Corporate HR Manager experience supporting a team of 1,000+ employees.
- Education: Undergraduate degree in a business area.
- Work Ethic: Strong communication skills and ability to take on special projects or additional duties.
- Communications: Have highly developed English verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical: High proficiency in using personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite, including high internet fluency. HRIS exposure highly preferred.
