ABOUT THE ROLE
The Human Resources Manager is to support the people and culture functions within a specified area “region” of the company. This support includes employee investigations, conflict resolution, managing worker’s compensation, benefits, performance reviews, leave of absence, employee data, onboarding and offboarding, compliance adherence, completing assigned reporting functions, and ad hoc projects.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
- Provide coaching and guidance to store leadership and field operations on company policies and conflict resolutions regarding employee conflict.
- Investigate all details of a complaint and recommend potential outcomes based on the information.
- Deploys and analyzes surveys, interviews, and other resources to conduct research regarding the activities, processes, and leadership within the company.
- Manages the onboarding, orientation, and off-boarding of restaurant leadership and home office employees.
- Serves as an expert in employee-related regulations and laws and utilizes external legal resources and guidance to seek out understanding and best practices.
- Reviews audits and corrects all HR data.
- Researches new and existing regulations and provides recommended content to communicate policies, procedures, and processes tied to the information.
- Performs assigned ad-hoc tasks and reporting.
- Audits the completion of employee documentation, compliance videos, signed agreements and other items for active and inactive team members including I-9s, and E-verify completion
- Manages the Leave of Absence process documentation and communication.
- Maintains the onboarding files and ensures legal compliance
- Manages the compensation and review process within the performance management tools
- Audits and manages the worker’s compensation process.
- Manages the follow-up on guest incidents by Area Directors.
- Ensures HR files accurately portray job classification, measurement period, eligibility, and offer of enrollment.
- Manages the open enrollment process.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Human Resources required or a minimum of 3-years’ experience
- 2 years or more experience with employee relations and conducting investigations
- SHRM-CP certification or higher
- Experience with managing, auditing, and building reports in a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Strong understanding of employment compliance regulations and practices.
- Experience using various platforms such as Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Docs & Sheets, and Adobe.
