The Alpine Resort is a historic Door County Wisconsin stay and play destination, located just south of Egg Harbor. Known for its stunning natural beauty and relaxed environment, the Alpine Resort is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. The property encompasses nearly half a mile of shoreline, with picturesque bluffs, stunning waterfront along Green Bay, one of Door County’s most scenic golf courses, and the iconic resort itself.
The Alpine is a historic resort with a special 101-year history. Under new management, plans are in place to restore the main lodge, improve the golf course, and rejuvenate the waterfront. Future expansion plans will offer a variety of dining and lodging accommodations, as well as other recreational activities along the waterfront.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the staffing process including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
- Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Administer payroll consistently and correctly.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop an entire company policy for a hospitality company.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, labor relations, organizational development business or relevant work experience.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices including compensation, performance management, safety, benefit plans, hiring, and employment regulations.
- 2 years of HR experience with regulations for companies with greater than 50 employees.
- Must develop an entire company policy for a hospitality company.
- General understanding of the hospitality business.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience.
- Create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the organization's employee benefits function and programs and can address unique circumstances as well as routine situations.
- Experience with Paycor HR and Payroll software.
