Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Mannager to join our Cedar Ridge Village team! The Human Resources Manager position provides Human Resources Generalist support, including payroll, benefits and recruitment management, as well as the ongoing support and development of a quality workforce. This is a one-person department, with dotted line accountability to Corporate Office in Overland Park, KS.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and implementation of services, policies and programs for staff
- Assist and lead facility directors and staff through all Human Resources related issues
- Work with Talent Acquisition Team on recruiting and hiring qualified staff
- Prepares & facilitates onboarding and orientation for new hires and creates an outstanding new hire experience
- Maintains facility online education system (CE Solutions)
- Prepares, communicates and monitors the performance evaluation process for employees
- Assist and lead management through employee relations issues
- Addresses employee safety, welfare, wellness and maintains health reporting
- Maintains confidential employee files, hard copy and electronic, and the HR/Payroll filing system
- Processes payroll for all employees according to accepted accounting principles, regulations and company policy/procedure and timelines
- Processes FMLA and other leaves of absence requests, including ADA accommodations
- Manage the administration and billing reconciliation of employee benefits
- Help create and cultivate a culture of high employee engagement as part of the community’s retention strategy
Planning and Time Utilization:
- Demonstrate the ability to set and establish priorities, manage time efficiently
- Must be able to work under pressure and with interruptions
- Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and be an independent, accountable, dependable performer
- Effective planning, organizational and detail-oriented skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly
- May be required to work occasional extended and/or weekend hours, rotating holidays with management team members
Other:
- Occasional travel to other Communities and/or corporate office may be required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively handle confidential information
- Demonstrated problem solving and judgment capabilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must get along well with others, encourage teamwork and strive to pursue collective goals
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
- Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education, preferably with an emphasis in Human Resources Management or Business, and/or a minimum of 1 year broad HR experience either as a generalist or manager.
- HR certification would be a plus.
- Computer literacy with Microsoft products as well as HRIS advanced user skills experience much preferred.
