Human Resource Dimensions has been retained to place a HR Manager for a leading automotive manufacturing company in Savannah, Georgia. As the Human Resources Manager, you will create and deliver strategic and tactical HR initiatives for the organization and will be responsible for building a strong HR Department. This is a key leadership role within the organization, and we are looking for an individual with strong start-up HR knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Administer employee benefits programs and promote employee wellness initiatives.
- Develop and deliver HR training programs, including onboarding and diversity training.
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee grievances and conduct investigations as necessary.
- Manage the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to supervisors for effective performance management.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and training effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Start-up experience a plus.
- Proven experience as an HR professional, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS software and MS Office.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
