This position is located at the Sacramento DMV Headquarters.
Under the direct supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent performs staff services assignments including a wide variety of personnel analysis and legislative analysis for the division. The incumbent acts as a Divisional Human Resources Liaison that prepares and reviews packages to fill vacancies, establish positions, processes promotions in place, training and development assignments, and out of class assignments in accordance with the civil service regulations and Human Resources Branch procedures. Maintains organizational charts to include all current position numbers, names, classifications, and position count. Prepares a monthly vacancy report to track and monitor the status of positions, updates database for changes to position number and employee name. This position also analyzes proposed legislation to determine impact to the division. Works with other divisional legislation analysts to obtain their primary analysis of the bill. Prepares divisional response and identifies fiscal and operational impact. This position requires that the incumbent have the ability to act independently, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of others, use good judgment, open mindedness, flexibility, tact, maintain confidentiality, and have regular attendance. Telework may be an option on a part-time basis
