The Human Resources Intern provides assistance with and facilitates the human resource process at The Legacy Willow Bend and Legacy at Home. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and administering policies relating to all phases of human resource activities, including recruitment and selection, background and references checks, policy/practices, discipline, employee relations issues, health and safety, benefits, insurance, payroll processing, legal compliance, and employee events. The ideal person will be highly organized, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, possess great communication skills, have the ability to shift gears at a moment's notice and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals.
• Conducts all screening of resumes and initial phone interviews, makes recommendations and schedules candidates to be further interviewed
• Assists with managing all job postings; assists with recruitment marketing initiatives; coordinates and participates in career fairs
• Posts all positions internally and externally and keeps logs of all recruitment activity for weekly reports
• Responds to inquiries from applicants pertaining to career opportunities and status of selection process
• Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service
• Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems
• Attend company functions and networking events
• Update and post supervised social media and website content; respond to web correspondence, social media posts, and emails
REQUIREMENTS:
• Language: Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred. HRCI or SHRM certification preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• A self-starter, with the ability to develop relationships across a wide spectrum, plan and perform job tasks effectively and efficiently
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with applicants and management teams
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
SALARY:
This job pays $15 per hour and offers a flexible work schedule.
