Job Description
The Summer Intern-HR Intern will have an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in human resources, focusing on onboarding and helping to improve processes.
Main accountabilities:
- Receive new hire information from recruiting and cross check all details
- Process new hire data in various systems and launch new hires in onboarding portal
- Track background checks and follow up with candidates as needed
- Communicate with new hires and hiring manager throughout onboarding
- Clear new hires to fully process in all systems
- Process I-9s once new hires start
- Assist in special projects, including job description alignment project
- Assist in administrative duties as needed
- Additional duties may be required
- Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student in Business or Human Resources
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal, diagram, or scheduled form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
