JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN

DEPARTMENT:HUMAN RESOURCES

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HR

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

STATUS: PART-TIME

Job Summary:

Our HR team is seeking a dynamic and motivated HR Intern to join our team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in HUMAN RESOURCES, focusing on both administrative tasks and recruitment. The ideal candidate will assist in various HR functions, gaining exposure to the end-to-end recruitment process and providing crucial support in daily administrative operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Handle documentation related to onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support in organizing HR-related events and activities.

Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with HR team to understand staffing needs.
  • Post job openings on relevant platforms and manage applicant tracking systems.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assist in the selection process.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Participate in job fairs or networking events to enhance recruitment efforts.

Communication:

  • Draft and edit internal and external HR communications.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.

Compliance:

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on relevant employment laws and regulations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with the defense industry and aerospace sector
  • +1 year of professional HR experience in a business setting.
  • Experience working with an HRIS system
