This internship opportunity aims to provide exposure to various HR functions while promoting diversity and empowering individuals from HBCUs to excel in their careers.
Role Summary: As an HR Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and HR operations. This role will actively contribute to our HBCU program initiatives and provide valuable support to the HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, reviewing resumes, and participating in initial screenings.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Collaborate with HR team members to organize and facilitate diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Assist in maintaining HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support to HR functions, such as scheduling interviews and drafting communications.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program at an HBCU, pursuing studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in HR and a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and work effectively in a team environment.
