Job description

Dover Precision Components (DPC), part of Dover Corporation's Pumps and Process solutions segment, is hiring a Human Resources Generalist. DPC holds market leading positions globally and delivers performance-critical solutions across the oil & gas, power generation, marine, industrial, chemical, and general processing markets. We design and manufacture mission-critical equipment components to deliver more affordable, cleaner energy solutions and enable manufacturers to operate more efficiently.

 

The Human Resources Generalist works closely with front-line managers, business units, and HR leadership team to support Cook Compression and Bearings Plus Aftermarket Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Field Service employees within the United States across eight sites.

What You'll Do 

  • Provide direct HR support to the business units' front-line leaders and employees, by supporting initiatives focused on business plan deployment and achievements, talent development and workforce planning, and employee relations, while adhering to company policy and procedures.
  • Advise both leadership and employees in HR related matters, to ensure compliance with company policy and applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, such as utilization, productivity, resourcing needs for headcount, overtime, turnover, absenteeism, and other HR KPIs.
  • Handle end-to-end recruitment processes for hourly positions. This is inclusive of all recruiting, on-boarding, and hiring activities within the HR workstream and HRIS systems, as well as external hiring and recruitment events where the company is represented.
  • Collaborate with global HR team members and HR shared service functions to support companywide HR initiatives, including Talent Acquisition to source and attract critical skills and knowledge, HRIS and Payroll teams to conduct employee data changes, employee self-service, and payroll reconciliations.
  • Support and deliver Dover's Employee Value Proposition strategy.
  • Champion an inclusive, equitable and diverse culture, that promotes positive employee relations, development of talent, and retention of talent within the organization.
  • Maintain current proficiency in various HR related skills and matters including compensation, benefits, employee relations trends and practices, legal requirements and regulations, and other knowledge necessary to support effective employee relations.
  • May assist the Company's global HR team with HRIS transactions as an a HRIS Data Administrator as needed.
  • May assist the with the Company's Vehicle Fleet Administration.
  • May assist with HR Special projects as assigned.

 

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years' Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management or related field.
  • Core knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites, up to 15% travel.

 

Even Better if you Bring/ Preferences

  • HR Professional certification preferred (GPHR, SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Prior experience within Success Factors and Indeed Recruitment platform.
  • Demonstrated success with meeting key HR key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive employee engagement, identification of organizational opportunities and gaps, determine solutions, and implement change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical and problem-solving approach to mitigate business and talent risks.
  • Independent self-starter, with the ability to make sound judgement decisions.
