- Manage and oversee the entire recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring its smooth execution.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and methods tailored to specific roles and industry standards, aligning them with organizational needs.
- Proactively engage in recruiting efforts to identify suitable candidates for human services, professional, and administrative positions, with a focus on individuals with disabilities eligible for custodial and other designated roles under the AbilityOne program.
- Support the screening, interviewing, and hiring process for individuals with disabilities in human services, professional, and administrative positions, providing assistance in transportation options and necessary documentation.
- Foster relationships with agencies, universities/colleges, and local service providers to enhance ongoing recruitment of clients and workers.
- Participate in college job fairs and recruitment sessions to attract prospective candidates.
- Coordinate and facilitate efficient onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
- Collect and maintain all required AbilityOne documentation pertaining to employment in the rehabilitation/work program.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client case records in compliance with AbilityOne, CW policy and procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Leads to identify performance areas affected by documented disabilities, striving to enhance individual performance.
- Work closely with key staff to ensure agency policies and NISH/AbilityOne guidelines are adhered to and information is updated accordingly.
- Collaborate with department managers to develop comprehensive job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Assist in identifying and documenting reasonable accommodations, as needed, and contribute to their implementation.
- Track new hire and employee demographic information.
- Generate and maintain reports and logs in compliance with EEO regulations.
- Conduct thorough background checks and screenings, including a criminal, motor vehicle, education, DDS, sex offender, and drug checks.
- Address employee complaints promptly and handle them in an appropriate manner.
- Conduct investigations and safety inspections as required.
- Review counseling records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in conducting observational assessments of clients/workers for the CW management team, external service providers, and requests for reasonable accommodations, providing valuable information for informed decision-making.
- Assist in training and developing leaders within the organization.
- Update handbooks as needed to reflect current policies and practices.
- Manage and track FMLA and Short Term Disability claims with the assistance of a third-party benefits administrator.
- Assist in the annual benefit rollout process.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality in accordance with CW policies.
- Make recommendations and draft policy changes as necessary.
- Perform any other duties as required to support the organization's operations.
