We're seeking an HRBP specialized in Talent Management with an entrepreneurial spirit and a deep passion for HR and talent. You'll enhance people programs and the overall employee and candidate experience, with an evolving role expected to encompass all aspects of HR. Your strategic vision will support our growth aspirations, shaping an environment that attracts, develops, and retains top-tier talent. You'll collaborate with leaders to align HR initiatives with business objectives, leading talent acquisition and management while fostering a culture of respect, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive Talent Acquisition, Talent Review, Performance Management, Rewards and Recognition, Engagement, and Retention programs.
  • Create and maintain systems to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Enhance candidate and employee experience, emphasizing workplace culture and values.
  • Spearhead initiatives supporting rapid growth while fostering an engaged culture.
  • Overhaul Talent Acquisition processes, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Source exceptional talent to fill open positions promptly.
  • Develop New Hire Training programs to equip employees and managers for success.
  • Identify and address skills and knowledge gaps through tailored training programs.
  • Establish a Talent Management Dashboard to monitor and report program effectiveness.
  • Execute Talent Management programs aligned with business objectives and culture.
  • Align award and recognition programs with business goals and values.
  • Promote mutual respect, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Exhibit curiosity and a commitment to ongoing learning to meet evolving organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Communications, or related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • 8+ years of HR experience supporting organizations of similar size and structure.
  • 5+ years focused on talent acquisition and management, ideally in recycling or similar industries.
  • Track record of driving impactful HR programs, fostering employee growth, and building business capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Quick to identify and act on opportunities, successes, and failures.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at delivering diverse training.
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in project management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and hands-on approach to HR, from daily support to long-term goals.
  • Professional, adaptable, solution-oriented, and creative mindset.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse teams.

Mechanics

  • Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources
  • Job Type: On-site, Exempt, Salaried, Full-time with benefits
  • Work Hours: Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CT, but other support may be required to support a 24/7 operation as the business grows.
  • Staff: No direct reports initially
  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Work environment: Professional office and manufacturing as needed
  • Travel: Up to 20% to attend other company locations and meetings when needed
  • Physical Demands: The work environment will vary between an office environment, a light industrial operations environment, and a warehouse environment, which will be necessary to support the needs of the business
