Description

SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) partners with various levels of management to support organizational objectives, identify corresponding HR needs, implement strategies to create an employee-oriented, high-performing culutre Through efficient use of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) the HRBP is responsible for the recruitment and talent management, tracking turnover and compliance/regulatory data, payroll processing and management.

 

The HRBP provides advisory services to employees regarding leaves of absence, conduct and performance, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters. The HRBP frequently interacts with supported health centers via telephone, remote meeting, and physical visits to build relationships and assesses culture and needs for HR support. HRBP is responsible for on-boarding new staff, conducting new hire orientation and provides ongoing training. The HRBP works with the Director of Human Resources to participate and support audits and training whenever necessary.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports and implements the organization’s vision, mission and values.
  2. Determines priorities and method of completing daily workload to ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely manner.
  3. Performs all job functions in a professional and courteous manner. This includes answering all general phone calls timely and providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  4. Fosters and promotes a culture of service excellence and accountability.
  5. Types correspondence, documents and reports; handles highly-sensitive information in a professional and exemplary manner. Compiles, types, reproduces and distributes data, for reports and/or presentations.
  6. Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application; talent management and development.  Resolves complex employee relations and performance management issues. 
  7. Leads and/or supports annual HR cycle deliverables to include annual performance planning and evaluation process, merit and equity awards, benefits enrollment, etc.
  8. Efficiently uses HRIS for talent acquisition, proactively sources and recruits new talent and leads onboarding.  Prescreens candidates for required skills, experience, and knowledge to fit position requirements.  Makes referrals to hiring manager and ensures efficient turn-around activity.
  9. Actively participates in recruitment campaigns; job fairs; college relations programs; general networking; etc. to ensure a robust candidate pipeline.
  10. Analyzes trends and metrics within the HR department and reports actionable information back to supported management teams.
  11. Identifies training needs for teams and individuals, develops content and facilitates training as needed.
  12. Reviews all applications and documentation relating to credentialing and submits to Credentialing department.
  13. Prepares, schedules, and facilitates new hire orientation, coordinates with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience.
  14. Evaluates issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program designs.
  15. Participates in organizational performance improvement and in departmental improvement projects as appropriate.
  16. Processes payroll, updates employee records, manages benefits, and expense reimbursements.
  17. Performs all other duties as assigned. 
  18. Must be willing and able to work at all locations as needed to meet patient care needs.
  19. Must be willing and able to work all business hours including evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources related experience. Healthcare background preferred.  Multi-site location client support experience a plus. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents, such as policies and procedures, routine mail, simple contracts, and procedure manuals. Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees, visitors and management. Bilingual Spanish preferred.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and apply concepts of basic math.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense to daily situations that arise.

  21. Must have own automobile, Valid California Driver License, and active automobile insurance.

The noise level in the work environment is often low. However, there are many times when there is a high ambient background noise of phones and multiple conversations. Must be able to screen out the background noise to concentrate on the work at hand.
