Hanover Hill Health Care Center is an award winning, family owned and operated Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facility located in Manchester, NH.
Hanover Hill is interviewing candidates for the position of Human Resources Assistant. We are seeking a motivated professional with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to assist with the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources department.
This is a Part-Time, hourly position; Monday-Friday 9am - 2pm
Specific Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED; Associate degree or equivalent in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources and/or an office setting preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility. (Includes job applications, resumes, reference checks, etc., of those persons meeting the eligibility requirements for the position to which they applied).
- Review all requests from department heads for new or replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, and arrange interviews, appointments, etc.
- Check applications and references of prospective employees and arrange for interview with department directors as required or requested.
- Assist the Director in determining departmental staffing needs.
- Consult with department heads concerning the staffing of their departments, eliminating/correcting problem areas, and improvement of services.
- Conduct phone and in-person interviews with applicants
- Consult with HR Director post-interviews to prepare and deliver offers to selected candidates.
- Assist in completing all necessary onboarding paperwork with new hires, explain personnel policies, procedures, payroll procedures, safety/smoking regulations, grievance procedures, etc., as established in our operational policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submitting to the Human Resource Director as required.
- Maintain CONFIDENTIALITY of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as our established personnel policies governing the release of information.
- Assist in interpreting department/company policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, etc., as necessary or required.
