Position Summary:
Provides support to Human Resources and CWV employees. Assists in the planning and administration of all Human Resources policies and programs in the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate bi-weekly orientation, including room assignment, agenda, notification to presenters, assembly of and collection of paperwork.
- Assists new hires with their on-boarding completion of paperwork for payroll, benefits and recordkeeping purposes.
- Input of bi-weekly payroll changes, such as rate increases, status changes, deduction changes, new hires and terminations, etc.
- Prepare and distribute monthly list of upcoming and overdue performance evaluations to department heads.
- Responsible for record keeping, personnel files, maintenance, retention, and administration of applicable systems including: Payroll, Benefits, Human Resource Information Systems.
- Provide termination letter to employees upon separation including unemployment brochure if applicable.
- Process terminations with insurance providers and notify COBRA carrier of separation.
- Updates UKG credentials and maintains record of employees professional licenses and certifications. Proactively monitors expirations.
- Administers C.N.A. certification renewals.
- Prepare and distribute monthly birthday cards.
- Performs accurate filing of all paperwork assigned.
- Maintains supplies for the department
- Participates and supports all HR sponsored activities including but not limited to; bulletin board notice development/rotation, rewards and recognition programs, employee committees; as well as other company sponsored activities when needed.
- Applies “5 Star” customer service approach in all aspects of job.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
- Attends required in-services and training.
- Photocopies as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned..
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; high degree of accuracy, and sense of urgency
- Experience with UKG Ready payroll and HR modules preferred
- Proficient level computer skills, including MS Word and Excel; knowledge of PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking and HRIS experience helpful.
- Minimum of 2-3 years HR experience required.
