The sixth UGN facility in Monroe, Ohio, officially opened in September 2015. The state-of-the-art facility has more than 475 team members and supplies Honda Motor Co. with superior acoustic insulation, carpet, and underfloor technologies. In the fall of 2018, UGN expanded the Monroe plant by adding another 150,000 square feet to the $50 million, 232,500 square foot facility to supply Toyota and Subaru. The UGN Monroe facility has already distinguished itself to Honda for exceptional service. Every year, Honda recognizes suppliers who increase value to the customer by removing waste within the overall product and supply chain. Human Resources Assistant Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Other duties may be assigned.
- Update and maintain employee database information; create, update and maintain employee
personnel files. - Assist with recruitment activities, conduct new employee orientations, and assist in other
employment activities. - Respond to management and employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.
- Respond to outside employment inquiries providing information to authorized persons in
accordance with company policies. - Assist in processing all job bid transactions and scheduling pre-employment activities.
- May compute Office Hourly/Salary payroll information and transmit to Payroll Department.
- Liaise with Corporate Human Resources team member inquiries concerning benefit issues.
- Administer and/or maintain records of various employee activities, such as, but not limited to,
attendance/vacation records, employee training, leaves of absence, employee assistance program,
and unemployment compensation claims. - Prepare reports and written correspondence as directed.
- Maintain plant telephone directory and organization chart.
- Strictly maintain employee privacy and departmental confidentiality in all human resource
activities.
