Job Summary:
The Human Resource Specialist will develop existing policies and ensure legal compliance for the company. This position requires collaboration with senior leadership to meet the organization’s goals related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Facilitate and track performance evaluations.
- Manage discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise. May be required to administer and execute tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Administer human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, retirement and health benefits, and leave.
- Monitor and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Accordingly, modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Develop and communicate employee scheduling.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience in human resource management required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
