Spine Medicine & Surgery of Long Island is a minimally invasive spinal surgery practice providing world class, cutting edge spinal surgery treatments for the Tri-State area. We are rapidly expanding throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties and seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Associate to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
As the Human Resources Associate, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our practice objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to drive positive organizational change.
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Collaborate with practice coordinator and practice leadership to understand staffing needs.
- Lead and coordinate staff, provider, and physician recruitment processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
- Attend in person job fair recruitment events as a representative of the practice. Set up and manage booth at job fair events.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
2. Employee Relations:
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Assist in the implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- Perform quarterly and yearly employee job reviews as directed by practice leadership.
- Lead performance management processes, providing guidance on goal-setting, feedback, and professional development.
3. HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Assist in benefits administration and enrollment processes.
- Support HR projects and initiatives.
- Reconciling employee payroll for processing by the payroll due date.
4. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits.
5. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HR or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Pay: $22.20 - $24.06 per hour
