Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full time Early CareerHuman Factors Design Engineer. In this role, you will assist in the design of cockpit interfaces, assess human performance in the cockpit environment using subjective measures as well as physiological monitoring technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional specialties including crew station design, operations analysis, aircraft pilots, and other technical experts. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Human Factors and aviation operations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Aeronautical Science, Industrial Engineering, Psychology, Human Computer
Interaction, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with Human Factors principles
  • Experience analyzing and presenting complex technical data
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:


  • Experience performing human assessments for cognitive workload, situational awareness, or ergonomic accommodation
  • Knowledge of biometric/physiological monitoring technologies (heart rate, eye-tracking, fNIRS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with aviation operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
