Job description
Royal Metal Products has a unique opportunity that will shape the success of the site safety program and further strengthen the culture of “Caring for our People”. The safety manager will be responsible for implementing and administrating safety and health programs and training to create a safe and productive workforce. Reporting to the HSE Director, the HSE manager will be responsible for the following:
1. Guide and promote safe work practices by developing proactive HSE procedures; manage HSE campaigns, communication, and recognition.
2. Ensure behavior-based safety is part of work practices, and continually evaluate its effectiveness.
3. Performs site investigations to ensure corrective and preventive action are appropriate, completed timely and lessons learned generated as per divisional procedures.
4. Coordinates and provides EHS training to educate employees about safety policies, regulations, good practices, and procedures.
5. Provides support to operations and engineering in the areas of EHS systems, processes, and tools.
6. Maintain and enhance physical site security to protect Royal Metal Products Employees, visitors, and intellectual property.
7. Ensures all HSE related reporting is completed, including monthly reporting, and other requested information.
8. Works with HR to manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs (including regularly scheduled work comp file reviews with insurance carrier and Corporate Safety Dept.)
9. Maintains regulatory compliance submission to regulatory agencies.
10. implemented and maintain the support of ISO 14001 Environmental management system ISO 45001 safety management system certifications.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
