Requirements:
- Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher Certification in Biology
- TOSD and/or ELL certification preferred but not required
- Demonstrate knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) preferred
- Knowledge and use of instructional technology
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- To teach high school science courses
- Promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement
- Collaborating with co-teachers on curriculum, assessment and instruction to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each student's learning needs
- Adjusting instruction, materials, and/or assessments to meet the diverse needs of students
- Maintaining a classroom environment that promotes student learning
- Using innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn
- Providing meaningful assessments and feedback to students
- Analyzing student assessment results to help guide instruction
- Maintaining accurate records of student achievement
- Communicating regularly with student and parents regarding progress
