Position Overview:
Are you a dynamic and passionate educator with a love for science? We're seeking a High School Biology Teacher who can inspire and enrich the lives of our students through the fascinating world of scientific inquiry. If you're ready to ignite a love of learning and guide students through the complexities of biology, including Advanced Placement (AP) Biology, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement captivating lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and align with curriculum standards.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore scientific concepts.
- Introduce students to a wide range of biological topics, fostering critical thinking and analysis skills.
- Cultivate students' scientific inquiry and experimentation skills through hands-on laboratory activities.
- Prepare students for standardized tests and provide support for academic growth and development in biology, including AP Biology.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire a love of science in students.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Previous High School teaching experience, preferably in a college preparatory program.
- Strong knowledge of biology, including foundational concepts and advanced topics covered in AP Biology.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and resources.
