Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Job Description
The HR Specialist is responsible for providing HR guidance and support to HR clients. The HR Specialist role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver effective HR solutions and drive business objectives.
This role will:
- Partner with clients to understand their HR needs and develop customized solutions
- Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Advise on HR best practices, policies and procedures
- Ensure the client's policies and procedures are in compliance with any relevant federal, state, or local employment law
- Perform risk and safety management consulting
- Work on special projects as needed
- Create and review employee handbooks for clients utilizing handbook builder tools and resources
- Provide guidance on performance management
- Assist clients with job postings and the filtering of candidates, assist with candidate phone screens and interview scheduling
- Present HR and safety-related training sessions to clients
- Act as the backup to the HR Director and HR Generalist as needed
- Act as the payroll backup as needed
- Participate in professional development sessions or seminars
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Business Management or related field
- 3 years of professional-level experience in HR
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
- HR certification is a plus but not required
- Experience in risk and safety management is a plus but not required
- Experience with payroll process is a plus but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
