Your Role at Cabot

Cabot has an exciting opportunity for a HR Operations Manager to join the HR Operations and Shared Services team on a contract basis for ~6-month period. We are seeking those who enjoy managing a global team, identifying, and resolving areas of HR process improvements and efficiencies, methodically managing complex HR issues, SOX and controls participation, and contributing to components of HR digital transformation project work.  

This role may be based at one of the following Cabot locations in Billerica, MA, Alpharetta, GA or Riga, Latvia and is eligible to follow Cabot's current Flexible Working Arrangement / Hybrid model.

This HR Operations Manager is responsible for leading a global team in their daily activities, managing HR project work and a part of SOX and controls to ensure that the delivery of Cabot's HR services meet business, service level, and cost requirements.

Additionally, the position also oversees the design and continuous improvement of core HR processes and policies and partners with management, employees and vendors to drive operational excellence and delivery across several areas:

This role will report directly to the Director, HR Services & Operations and manage a hybrid working team and be responsible for development and deployment of potential new, fit-for-purpose platforms for HR service delivery including HCM technologies, shared services offerings, and outsourcing alternatives.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Overseeing service delivery and the day-to-day operations of the HR Operations team to provide the highest quality support for stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement and continuously evaluate an HR Operations strategy for Cabot which ensures the HR function delivers an exceptional user experience to employees and candidates. This strategy would consider multiple delivery channels for HR services - from automated technologies, local HR support, and shared services or outsourced service providers
  • Manages transformation processes and change management within the team
  • Ensure the deployment of HR technologies are adequately supporting business requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Cabot to drive data integrity
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and/or streamline processes
  • Facilitate continuous process improvement of the user experience with HR through partnerships within the HR organization and throughout the enterprise
  • Proactively audit and coordinate established procedures, systems and standards for overall HR operations
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key success metrics as they relate human resource programs & operations
  • Proactively stay up-to-date with industry trends, continuously evaluating and implementing best practices as appropriate
  • Effectively manage and partner with external vendors, including but not limited to leading RFP processes and less formal processes, to select, hire and onboard vendors
  • Oversee Cabot's global relocation & mobility program ensuring that staff relocation and/or expatriate experience with Cabot meets business requirements and legal, tax, and local employment regulations, is cost and market competitive, and delivers a positive experience to the program participants
What You Will Bring to Cabot
  • University degree (preferably in Human Resources or another relevant field);
  • 7+ years of experience in HR Operations or in a Customer Services / Employee Experience environment;
  • Previous experience managing and motivating a globally dispersed team required;
  • Proficient in HCM system is required (i.e. PeopleSoft or Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc);
  • Experience working with SOX and controls (foundational understanding of risk & compliance) required;
  • Experience in process transformation - Continuous improvement and process improvement mind-set required;
  • Experience working in a global multi-national matrixed organization a plus;
  • Solid understanding of US immigration policies and procedures; strong strategic, analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills;
  • Experience implementing change management methodologies;
  • Ability to drive change while coaching and developing the team;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently;
  • Has a collaborative approach to working with internal customers with the appropriate sense of urgency;
  • Experience managing external third-party vendors;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - assertiveness, confidence and high ability to influence others;
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Management experience in a shared services center;
  • Proven ability to work within a cross regional, functional, multicultural and virtual context;
  • Fluent English, a second language desirable but not necessary.
