Camping World is looking for a Human Resources Operations intern for the summer of 2024 to support the Human Resources department in their operational and organizational development efforts. As an intern, you will assist with the daily operations and gain a first-hand experience in the department. We are looking for someone who is driven and who wants to be immersed in a real-world experience. If you are eager to learn, have a strong interest in Human Resources and want to further develop yourself as a professional; this is the ideal role for you.
Candidates must have the ability to work in our Chicago or Lincolnshire office on a hybrid basis (3 days in office, 2 days remote) for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Human Resources department in their operational and organizational development efforts for Camping World
- Execute key HR processes in onboarding, offboarding, job and organizational changes through HRIS inbox, checklists and reports
- Conduct HRIS audits focused on data integrity
- Assist with standard and ad hoc reporting needs
- Problem solve issues facing the HR Operations team
- Take on individual special projects as needed to enhance your knowledge and skills in HR
- Work on projects including creating and/or updating HR operations related documents, resources, and presentations
- Provide excellent customer service to our business units and associates
Qualifications:
- In pursuit or a recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office: Suite: (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a keen interest in using this tool more
- Excellent technical skills and ability to interpret data
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and strict confidentiality of employee and company information
- Must be diligent, organized, detail-oriented, and express interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to policy and priority changes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic with research, note-taking, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask
