We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager based on premises at our corporate headquarters in Flowood. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development and administration of a broad range of activities related to employee relations, compliance, benefit plan operations, and workplace policy. This is a senior level generalist position that reports to the HR Director.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of written and presentation material to support HR related events and special projects such as employee handbook and policy communication and trainings, benefits enrollment events, and performance evaluations. Write job descriptions, policy and procedure, and disciplinary actions.
- Administer the preparation of employee information reports and analysis related to OSHA/MSHA, EEO, ERISA tracking and reporting using the company's HRIS and related systems. Maintain the Company's Affirmative Action Plans.
- Prepare a wide range of statistical summaries and reports involving payroll information, performance management, demographics, and other employee data. Run queries, analyze data, and review source documents for accuracy and completion of data input.
- Support, prepare, and facilitate compliant and effective resolution of employee relations matters. Coach and counsel managers regarding performance management and progressive discipline.
- Provide counsel to management in the development, interpretation, and administration of workplace policy and practices. Research, prepare, and train employees and supervisors on new/updated policy.
- Administer the Company's worker compensation program to ensure that all worker injuries are reported and claims are tracked and settled appropriately. Initiate, track, and administer all activities related to employee leaves of absence including FMLA entitlement and communication, disability benefit claims filing, and related interface between providers, carriers, and the employee.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in a management, HR, or equivalent discipline required. SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of generalist experience in Human Resources that includes seasoned practice and knowledge of employment, safety, benefits administration, and compliance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as technical proficiency with HR management systems.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as HRIS and ATS applications.
- Exceptional writing, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Refined interpersonal skills, judgment, and discretion to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline sensitive environment.
