Our Opportunity
The Regional Human Resources Manager is responsible for delivering HR support across the region, partnering with frontline managers and regional leadership, and enabling the business to deliver its objectives. This position will be responsible for executing the HR strategies as it relates to talent management, talent acquisition, and employee relations within an assigned area. This role will be responsible for building collaborative relationships across the business in order to execute the strategies of the HR function. The willingness to roll up the sleeves to do whatever it takes to accomplish the task at hand is important for this person’s success.  This role will support multiple locations in the region and requires travel to develop strong relationships with employees and internal customers. 
Essential Functions

  • Being a strategic and tactical contributor by delivering comprehensive, practical human resource solutions to the leaders and employees in the region.
  • Driving and fostering positive employee relations through proactive customer service, relationship building, engagement, and other actions; ensuring increased retention and reduced turnover aligned to company needs.
  • Administers FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Effectively monitoring and ensuring compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures as well as state and federal legal requirements; resolve employee relations concerns and conduct investigations as necessary.
  • Being an ambassador for GreenPoint Ag’s culture, vision, mission and core values.
  • Effectively partner with Director of Talent Acquisition in development and execution of staffing plans and recruiting strategy to ensure both an internal and external pipeline of candidates.
  • Champion the employee experience and elevate leadership through coaching of engagement survey results, exit interview results, and conducting effective field visits to identify opportunities for improved retention.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • A minimum of five years of progressive Human Resource Generalist Manager responsibilities in a people focused, customer-oriented environment
  • HR Certification highly desired
  • Multi-location experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management teams, colleagues, and employee
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Technical aptitude and interest including proficiency with HRIS applications (UltiPro/UKG experience a plus), ATS applications, and MS Office
  • Demonstrate a passion for understanding the business by spending time in the region and area meetings to ensure alignment with the team on goals and initiatives; exhibits servant leadership by lending a hand, especially during “crunch” time
  • Ability to function with strategic orientation and act tactically as required
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and flexibility to adjust to business needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws (multi-state preferred)
  • Able to perform with high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of training techniques and classroom presentation skills
  • Strong aptitude for customer service and a sincere willingness to serve and do what's right

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. On occasion, will be in a warehouse setting for employee meetings and communication as needed.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

Travel

Ability to support geographically dispersed facilities with flexibility to travel up to 30%
