The Human Resources Manager, QCD Central role is critical in ensuring QCD recruits and retains a qualified, engaged workforce to meet GSF/QCD and customer objectives. In partnership with the Regional Operations Director, the Human Resources Manager ensures compliance with Company policies, collective bargaining agreements, labor, safety, Federal and State regulations for seven (7) Distribution Centers located in the Central Region, which includes Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Missouri, Minnesota and Illinois.
This position can be based in Frisco, TX (QCD HQ) or in any of our locations in the Central Region.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Provides oversight of human resources programs serving over 700 associates within the region; supervises HR team members located in each facility.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field
- 5-7 years of experience as an HR Generalist with at least 5 years in a union environment and leadership/supervisory role
- Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships and solid working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to make formal presentations
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, dynamic environment, handle adversity, and frequent change, provide constructive feedback and balance workload with multiple and competing priorities
- Customer-service focus, with demonstrated experience dealing successfully with front-line internal and external customers
- Experience in administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing
Preferred:
- PHR/SHRM certification from Human Resources Certification Institute, or Society for Human Resource Management
- Prior experience in a food distribution or manufacturing environment
Travel Expectations:
- 30 - 40%, predominantly within the region and periodically outside the region
