Description
Summary: This internship will provide direct exposure to a manufacturing plant while also supporting the HR Functions for the plant employees. HR Intern will work closely with the HR Manager and other members of HR to support the day-to-day operations of the department.
Expected hours: during school breaks; up to 40 hours, during school year; about 20 hours. At this time, this is not a remote work position.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate within HRIS
- Assist employees in completion of training and support other training and development programs at the plant for all team members
- Communicate directly with the staffing agencies on the staffing needs for the plant shifts
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures (employee relations)
- Organize and execute plans for company events and employee engagement activities
- Filing and data entry as needed including updating HR metrics on departmental boards/reporting
- Create communication flyers and postings as needed
- Administrative support responsibilities
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish/English necessary
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
- Proactive approach to tasks
- Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working in manufacturing environment (wear PPE for safety and GMP)
