Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern to support the Workforce Planning and Employee Relations teams in the Human Resources department.

This job involves working as a Human Resources intern responsible for assisting with Workforce Planning and HR  compliance, policies, and processes

This position will be Hybrid

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals within the Human Resources department to:

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret workforce information provided in an effort to translate the data into actionable talent strategies 
  • Supports the execution and implementation of PSEG’s Workforce Planning process
  • Perform analytics and reporting in support of the Enterprise flexible work model and exit survey process
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal workplace notice and posting requirements
  • Review and update HR policies, practices, and processes for effectiveness and compliance
  • Assist in reviewing and updating Human Resources content on the intranet
  • Create reports and dashboards using Microsoft Office applications
  • Assist with Human Resources related projects that may have company-wide impact
Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources Data Science/Data Analytics or a related degree.  PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.  


Preferred:

  • 3.0 GPA

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
