Job description

As the Senior People Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive and productive work environment by managing all aspects of employee relations. Reporting directly to the VP of People Services, your primary responsibility will be to manage and enhance employee relations by developing and implementing strategies that promote effective communication, conflict resolution, and a culture of collaboration. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including department heads and employees, to address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and best practices. 

 

We are seeking a creative, highly motivated, and results-driven professional that possesses strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR principles, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex employee relations issues. Your exceptional managerial, analytical, and communication skills will be crucial in fostering a positive workplace culture and promoting the professional growth and development of our employees. The Sr. People Services Manager shall strive to provide exceptional service to internal/external guests and team members. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Suncadia Resort Culture as well as promoting Suncadia Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice! 

 

Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

  • Manages all aspects of Employee Life Cycle and ensures compliance and optimization of all Employee Programs 
  • Oversee investigations into employee complaints, conflicts, and disputes, maintaining confidentiality, impartiality throughout the process and ensuring fair and consistent resolution; analyzes trends and provides mitigation recommendations 
  • Provide coaching to managers on performance management, staff development, and effective problem resolution strategies. 
  • Take a leadership role in handling conflict resolution among staff and management, fostering a harmonious work environment.  
  • Excellent command of various federal, state and local employment practices laws and regulations required 
  • Foster a positive work environment conducive to professional and personal growth and development; 
  • Act as a catalyst for change and continuously seek to raise the bar for the property as an Employer of Choice; 
  • Drive benefits strategy at property level – Open Enrollment, monthly enrollments, semi-annual hours compliance, benefits eligibility, etc.;  
  • Helps to manage compensation program through job & market analyses; 
  • Ensures company compliance with all wage & hour laws; 
  • Oversee and work with People Services team in administration of Leave of Absences, UKG data entry and team member benefit tactics; 
  • Oversees annual compliance internal audits, associate engagement surveys and national certifications; 
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals;  
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency of department and services performed; 
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database; 
  • Represents the company for any unemployment claims; 
  • Supports development / maintenance of employee recognition programs; 
  • Maintains working relationships with employees and management by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions; 
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a similar combination of education and experience the Human Resources Field; 
  • Background in employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred; 
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues; 
  • The ability to research and analyze various different types of data information; 
  • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law; 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work. 
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit; 
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English; 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
