Job Description
Federal Contracting company looking for Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Compensation: $60-80k DOE
Location: Martinsburg, WV
Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:30AM – 4:30PM or 9AM-5:30PM (flexible)
****HYBRID after 60-90 days
Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Provide effective and timely responses & resolutions to employees.
- Employee Information: Enter employee information into various required databases.
- Employee Engagement / Performance Management: Participate in, Plan & Organize employee recognition events.
- Training and Orientations: Conduct, monitor & create employee training and orientations.
- Compensation / Benefits: Organize Open Enrollment meetings, ensure all employees receive and return required enrollment packages as appropriate.
- Reporting and Meetings: Attend meetings as required; provide information and input as directed.
- Compliance: Provide assistance in ensuring compliance regulations are met.
- Administration: Provide support in administering Human Resource and contractual policies and procedures.
- Other: Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
- A United States Citizen.
- Valid US driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a DOJ Public Trust Background Investigation.
- Experience with TALEO, CostPoint, Deltek T&E and Benetrac strongly preferred
- Prior Federal Government contracting experience in HR is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of government regulations i.e., Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon Act is strongly preferred.
- Must have strong MS-Office application experience.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- High ethical integrity and ability to keep information confidential is mandatory.
- Human Resources Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Travel for training will be required, additional travel may be needed (1 to 3 instances per year).
- Ability to articulate complex issues.
- Carries out all duties and responsibilities with the utmost integrity and consistent with the highest ethical standards.
- Remain flexible and responsive to changing conditions.
- Uses both logic and intuition to reach appropriate conclusions.
- Adjusts behavior style to match the demands of the situation.
Education and Experience:
- College Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources; Related coursework and work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum 3 years of job-related experience in an administrative role supporting a team.
