Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as an HR Generalist, where you will play a vital role in delivering strategic initiatives to drive success for Informa Tech. As an HR Advisor, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all people-related topics and initiatives are executed seamlessly, aligning with our business goals and fostering a thriving work environment.
We are seeking a passionate HR Generalist who thrives in collaborating with business leaders and managers across the organization. In this role, you will provide invaluable support, guidance, and expert advice across the entire spectrum of employee relations topics. Your exceptional ability to build relationships and coach managers will be instrumental in empowering our teams to achieve their best.
As an HR Advisor, you provide advice and guidance on HR processes, best practices, and policies to colleagues and managers within your client group. Your expertise will be critical in handling employee relations matters with utmost professionalism and fairness.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with HR Shared Services, HR Business Partners, and other HR specialists, including Reward, Learning, and Talent Acquisition. Together, we will leverage our collective expertise as a united global HR team to drive positive change throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related topics
- Assist with employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or policy violations as needed
- Train managers and leaders on handling key people issues, particularly on performance management.
- Foster self-sufficiency in managers, equipping them with the necessary guidance to navigate day-to-day employee matters while offering expert support on sensitive or high-profile employee relations cases.
- Manage employee relations casework, including performance management/PIP, dispute resolutions, disciplinary actions, grievances, absence, and redundancy.
- Support and embed organizational change, ensuring the advocacy of new people initiatives.
- Ensure HR processes are executed in alignment with expectations throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Collaborate seamlessly within a matrix structure, working hand-in-hand with other HR teams/functions to align and achieve business and people initiatives.
- Undertake ad hoc HR project work as required to update/review company policies and procedures and develop the company's HR function in line with company objectives.
- Support the HR Business Partner team in realizing the strategic objectives of our dynamic People Plan.
- HR generalist experience
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
- Knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
- Experience in managing performance and conduct-related cases.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle matters with discretion and diplomacy.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 / year depending on experience.
