We are seeking a HR Manager Battery Materials. Through the power of connected minds, the successful candidate will "create chemistry" every day with key stakeholders, from employees to senior leaders. As an HR Business Partner, Battery Materials you create chemistry by...
• Developing strong partnership with business leaders with a deep understanding of the business and its needs; creating and implementing a people strategy in partnership with business and HR leadership.
• Interpreting and ensuring compliance and administration of employment laws and policies such as FLSA, FLMA, EEO, NLRA, Workers Compensation etc.
• Implement and monitor Human Resources policies and procedures ensuring compliance to BASF standards.
• Coordinating and managing training, development and succession planning activities ensuring appropriate plans are in place for all employees.
• Coordinating and integrating the Talent Management process at the site to include detailed analysis of potential talent gaps and development of career plans; anticipating workforce planning / management issues and develop workforce strategies.
• Supporting the business needs by applying frameworks, methods, and tools to align process, structure and people systems.
• Advocating, promoting and effectively managing the site environment, evaluating the site culture (for assigned sites) and employee relations issues; and ensure that management is aware of and proactively responds to employee engagement issues.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
The Formula for the Success of our HR Business Partner, Battery Materials includes the following ingredients...
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive professional Human Resources experience also within a manufacturing site.
• Minimum of five (5) years labor relations experience in an unionized enviroment; day-to-day, memorandum changes, and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. state and federal laws and governmental compliance requirements.
