Role: HRBP
Reports to: Global HR Director
Position Summary:
As a People & Culture Business Partner at BIG Language Solutions you will run the daily functions of the People & Culture (HR) department including employee relations, unemployment claims, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Support centralized HR team in India and Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by HR Director.
Required Skills / Abilities/Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred), and a minimum of 6 years of HR experience in the above areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Industry professional certification (PHR or SPHR) desired
- Thorough understanding of HR policies and procedures, and knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, HIPAA, and EEO laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with all aspects of HR, including compensation, recruitment, benefits, and training Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to lead meetings and presentations, and ability to interface with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy.
- Must be a collaborative team player, possess a strong customer service orientation, and be a consultative problem solver.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
