Job Description
Home, Hope and Healing is seeking an entry level HR Assistant who will create a favorable first impression of our agency and provide office support to our human resources (HR) department. This position works out of our central office in Smithfield, Maine. Will perform general office duties including assisting with applicants for hire, performing background and reference checks, prepare materials for new hire orientation and onboarding, follow up with new hire requirements, and scan and upload documents to electronic personnel records. Will also help to coordinate company philanthropy opportunities such as walks and fund-raisers, employee recognition programs, greet visitors to the main office, answer and distribute phone calls, and assist HR staff with other duties such as tracking professional licenses and certificates and maintain training records. Full time position, weekdays, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.

- 2+ years of office experience preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee information

- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Good computer skills; ability to learn and use computerized databases, MS Outlook and Teams with ability to learn APS applicant tracking system, scanning software, and other computer software programs, MS Word, MS Excel
- Work independently and in a team environment utilizing a high degree of professionalism with all staff
- Experience working in a HR office a plus
