TETER, Inc., a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a highly motivated part-time HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. The HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day human resources functions, contributing to the success of our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to providing exceptional customer service to our valued staff.
The position is currently available part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position in the next few years.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic HR support to staff, responding to questions and routing support needs as necessary.
- Support staff in using the HR information system, ensuring data accuracy.
- Support recruiting activities, including posting job advertisements and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with onboarding, including desk setup, coordination with IT, and preparing new hire materials.
- Prepare documentation for staff check-ins, tracking completion and following up for documentation.
- Track paid time off and process requests.
- Assist with benefits administration, including open enrollment, new hire enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Provide backup to the front desk when the receptionist is unavailable.
- Offer general administrative assistance as requested.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of HR experience, including internship.
- Preferred experience in a professional services or similar environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable record.
- Organized, detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- Demonstrates good judgment, initiative, and conscientiousness.
- Maintains a composed and professional demeanor in a busy environment.
- Positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and database software.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $23-$28 per hour, and it is a part-time role. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
Additional pay may be earned through TETER's quarterly bonus program.
