Job Title: HR and Employee Experience Manager

At Blooming Health, our mission is to power healthy aging-in-place for all. Our next generation engagement platform seamlessly connects older adults and caregivers with service providers in the $575B aging-in-place market. We are empowering older adults to live in their community independently and help aging-in-place service providers to serve more older adults. We are a fast growing company looking for a mission-driven team player to drive our upcoming growth plans in multiple states.

This is a hybrid role if based in NYC or surrounding areas. Remote ok for anywhere else in the US.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Employee Experience Manager to join our dynamic team at Blooming Health. You will play a pivotal role in driving recruitment and hiring and shaping the company's culture and Employee Experience. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the recruitment and hiring process, implementing employee success policies and plans, taking initiatives to practice the company's core values, ensuring employee satisfaction, employee training and development, performance management, benefits administration and compliance with employment related regulations.

We need a professional who has experience in Human Resources and who can come in and hit the ground running. We are looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is comfortable with constant change as the company experiences explosive growth. Key Responsibilities

HR and Employee Experience Manager's responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Recruitment and Staffing:
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
    • Evaluate competitive compensation benchmarking
    • Coordinate and manage the entire recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
    • Conduct interviews and collaborate with department managers to make hiring decisions.
  • Employee Policies and Procedures:
    • Draft, review, and update employee policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and company values.
    • Ensure that HR policies are effectively communicated and understood by all employees.
    • Handle employee relations and address concerns in accordance with company policies.
  • Establishing Company Culture:
    • Uphold and promote the company's core values, mission, and culture.
    • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Ensuring Employee Satisfaction:
    • Collect feedback from employees regularly and strategize actionable items
    • Coordinate team building activities and effective communication channels
    • Mediate employee conflicts
    • Ensure defined employee NPS score is met
  • Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs internally and externally.
    • Facilitate training sessions on HR-related topics and compliance matters.
    • Support employees in their career growth and skill enhancement.
  • Performance Management:
    • Oversee the performance management process, including regular performance evaluations.
    • Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and improvement plans.
  • Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Legal Compliance:
    • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations.
    • Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources and Recruitment
  • Proven track record of success in a HR/People & Culture/Employee Experience managerial role, implementing effective HR policies and managing recruitment and hiring processes
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with a hands-on approach and as part of a team, with a self-driven and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to operate effectively and adapt to the changing environment in an early stage startup.
