Salary: Starting at $40,000 (depending on experience)

With a mission to serve the best interests of others – candidates, Team Members, our Customers and the Company, the primary role of this position is to provide comprehensive administration in the areas of benefits, payroll, Injury/Illness record keeping and employee file management. The HR Specialist will work in tandem with the HRBP to develop sustainable and scalable processes in support of Pneu-Dart's people and business objectives.


Responsibilities:

The HR Specialist is responsible for the following areas, including but not limited to:

Benefit Processing

  • Maintain a detailed summary of benefits available to Team Members and all associated contributions.
  • Maintain eligibility records and communicate enrollment opportunities to Team Members.
  • Review provider invoices to ensure benefit billing is reflective of enrolled team members.
  • Support new/open enrollment processes between the Team Member and the provider as needed.
  • Provide Team Member support on claims and billing questions.
  • Filing/scanning of documents to ensure accurate and complete recordkeeping.
  • Support reporting needs for quarterly / yearly compliance.

Payroll Processing:

  • Post department schedules and review/approve time sheets daily (Deputy)
  • Document and maintain accurate records of time utilization within PDI’s HRIS (Bamboo HR)
  • Report eligibility on quarterly and safety incentive programs
  • Communicate all necessary information with payroll accountants to support accurate and timely payroll processing (third party).
  • Filing/scanning of documents to ensure accurate and complete recordkeeping.
  • Support reporting needs for quarterly / yearly compliance.

Injury / Illness Record Keeping

  • Administrative support and tracking of LOA programs (FMLA/WC/LOA)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of on-the-job illnesses and injuries to support OSHA and Worker’s Compensation record-keeping requirements.
  • Coordinate safety concerns and needs with department managers and the Safety Committee as appropriate.
  • Maintain Hearing Conservation program.
  • Responsibility to keep required materials up to date and displayed.
  • Filing/scanning of documents to ensure accurate and complete recordkeeping.
  • Support reporting needs for quarterly / yearly compliance.

Employee File Management

  • Timely and organized maintenance of Team Member records
  • Archive / purge records appropriately as per regulations
  • Support reporting needs for quarterly / yearly requirements

Education & Experience


  • HR experience or coursework, specifically in the areas of benefits administration, payroll processing / timekeeping, Leave administration and/or employee relations.
  • May consider equivalent experience outside of HR if similar in scope and transferrable skillset.


Mental and Physical Requirements


  • Sitting, standing, walking, speaking, writing and use of computer and phone.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information and data of a complex nature.
  • Perform basic mathematical formulas.
  • Primary work is in an office setting.
  • Frequent movement about the manufacturing floor and other areas of the facility are required.
  • May be exposed intermittently to areas requiring hearing/eye protection or other PPE.
