IKG USA, LLC is recognized as the pioneer of the world grating industry, having invented the first grating products in New York City in the early 20th Century. IKG USA, LLC continues to lead the grating industry as one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of high-quality steel and aluminum bar grating, with several manufacturing plants throughout North America, and a network of direct sales personnel, distributors, and agents to serve both the domestic and international markets. Metal bar grating has many applications but is primarily used as an industrial product because of its high strength, relative light weight, and design that allows for light flow and ventilation. I. POSITION SUMMARY AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • SUMMARY
The individual will lead the Continuous Improvement efforts at multiple sites within IKG. They will work closely with Plant Management and site resources to ensure that the organization is continuing to enhance our value proposition to our customer base.

  • PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Improve organizational performance in a metrics driven organization.
  • Implement, sustain, and expand the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) of the company.
  • Promote a customer-centric environment that diligently strives to realize organizational goals.
  • Apply various world-class manufacturing techniques to eliminate waste throughout the organization. Train team members on these techniques.
  • Lead improvement exercises to include short, stand-up problem-solving actions and longer-term Kaizen events.
  • Utilize the Theory of Constraints to identify bottlenecks and eliminate them.
  • Identify and implement programs to reduce working capital throughout the organization.
  • Recommend and justify capital expenditures.
  • Advance the company’s safety culture.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, inclusiveness, and respect.
  • Basic Qualifications
  • Education
    • Requires a four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement role in a manufacturing organization.
    • Minimum of 7 years experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Other Requirements
    • Certification in Lean and / or Six Sigma
