Continuous Improvement Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Certified Six SIgma Black Belt
• Minimum 2 years experience in the Aerospace Industry
• A minimum of 5+ years hands-on Lean Manufacturing implementation experience and/or training in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Experience and demonstrated development of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training programs, project management, coaching/mentoring and quantifiable process/operational improvements
• Ability to integrate Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma into company strategies
• Ability to work across all levels of business to influence change
• A demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance, approaches and tools, including strategic planning project management
• Experience and working knowledge of quality management systems
• Computer skills should include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and MINITAB.

Job Description:

• Lead and mentor productivity and cost savings projects
• Use standard Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma program tools and methods (value stream maps, spaghetti charts, takt time, etc.) and execute high impact projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology that support the company business and functions
• Work closely with company managers to deploy Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma across all business functions
• Lead and execute Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects as assigned and/or identified
• Develop internal Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training courses
• Develop project scope, objectives, and metrics that assist Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma project teams and provide input on priorities.
• Coach, train and develop Green Belts, Yellow Belts and managers in Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC)
• Manage and supervise multiple Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma project teams
• Conduct weekly meetings with personnel
• Report Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma project status at Weekly Supervisory Meeting
