The Housing Authority of the County of Riverside's purpose is to develop and maintain an effective county-wide Continuum of Care. The Continuum of Care oversees our community's plan to organize and deliver supportive social services, including housing options, which meet the specific needs of homeless individuals and families. Ultimately, the goal of the Continuum is to move homeless people toward stable housing and maximum self-sufficiency.
This recruitment may be used to fill other Housing Specialist I/II positions throughout Riverside County.
The incumbent will undertake a range of responsibilities related to offering housing aid to low-income individuals under Section 8 and similar assisted housing initiatives. Additionally, they may be required to carry out inspections of privately assisted housing units as necessary.
Ideal candidates will possess prior experience in Housing Authority or Section 8 housing programs, managing substantial caseloads, facilitating resource connections, and delivering exceptional customer service in a public agency environment.
