We are looking to add to our Jay's Catering and Ellie’s Table team! Located at the Boardwalk in Irvine, Ellie’s Table at the Boardwalk, a Jay’s Catering Company, is a celebration of Eleanor Mastroianni and her culinary talents. Not only are we known for our hand-crafted French pastries, filling breakfast options, Famous Palm Sandwiches, and fine gourmet coffee, but we also take pride in our friendly staff and involvement in the local community to ensure our slogan: Happiness is Homemade, at both our flagship location in San Juan Capistrano and our corporate Irvine location. Jay’s Catering has been in business for over 50 years with a thriving, fun and friendly staff who work hard but enjoy the perks of being surrounded by family and food. We are looking to add a highly motivated individual to our Front of House Catering sales team who is customer service driven, detail oriented, happy to work both Front of House tasks and back of House in the office on orders, and proud to work for our award-winning business.

Interviews for this position will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at our Jay’s Catering headquarters in Garden Grove.

Pay:
Starting pay range:
$23.00 - $26.00 / hour including tips
GREAT POTENTIAL OF PAY INCREASE BASED ON CATERING SALES GROWTH.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday
8:30am – 5pm
Mostly Front of House when café is open
Office hours after café closes

*Café hours = 7am-3pm

Job Duties:

- Experience with Caterease software is a plus, but not required.

- Operate a POS system and handle money

- Manage orders and events from start to finish, including menu and proposal creation, closing sales, collecting payments, coordination, and event follow up.

- Effectively communicate both verbally and written with all clients and internal departments in an attentive, friendly, and service oriented manner.

- Respond to all leads in a timely manner.

- Educate clients on Jay’s Catering and Ellie's Table menu offerings, levels of service, and procedures for orders.

- Gather all pertinent event information from client to create accurate proposals.

- Communicate with all internal departments to complete accurate paperwork for each event.

- Generate sales leads for business development.

- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and venues to create a professional network.
