THE ROLE

The Maintenance Houseman reports directly to the Housekeeping Leadership team, working to maintain the consistent cleanliness and organization of our guest rooms and spaces. It is critical that you possess an eye for detail and can maintain our standards of cleanliness. They complete a task list on 3-5 rooms a day to make sure all things are in working order in each of those rooms.

Our team is expected to hold themselves, the guests, and each other in high regard. You will actively develop trusting and transparent relationships with your peers, both in the department and throughout the hotel.

You are humble and understand the need to work side by side with others; and you take feedback to make things better seriously. It is quite natural for you to walk into a hotel and see the potential of the environment and how it could work for a variety of people, groups, events or meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Notify managers of necessary repairs.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Assist guests when necessary.
• Keep linen room stocked.
• Properly clean upholstered furniture.
• Oversee program to ensure we are proactive on getting to maintenance issues
• Ability to manage your time efficiently.
• Work well unsupervised.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
